We believe that consumers should not have to sacrifice performance when choosing to leave a smaller impact on the environment.
Naturally High Standards
U.S. Environmental Protection Agency’s (EPA) Safer Choice Program
When the Safer Choice label appears on a product, it means that EPA has screened each ingredient in the product for potential human health and environmental effects and that (based on hazard and risk information, the latest models and predictive tools, and expert scientific judgment) the product contains only those ingredients that pose the least concern among chemicals in their class. Safer Choice works closely with companies to help them understand the chemistry of their products and to select safer alternatives to chemicals that pose potential health or environmental concerns.
USDA BioPreferred® Program
The BioPreferred Program is a USDA-led initiative that aims to facilitate the development and expansion of markets for biobased products. The increased development, purchase, and use of biobased products will reduce our Nation’s reliance on petroleum and increase the use of renewable agricultural materials.
Biobased products also help us increase our use of renewable resources while decreasing our use of non-renewable resources, such as petroleum. Biobased products displace around 300 million gallons of petroleum per year in the U.S., which is the equivalent of taking 200,000 cars off the road.1
